The Associate Degree in Realtime Reporting prepares students for a high-tech, potentially well-paying profession in one of two specializations. The Judicial Reporting specialization prepares students for careers in the judicial setting as either officials or freelance court reporters. The Captioning/CART specialization prepares students for careers providing captioning for broadcast television and Internet programs or working with the deaf or hard-of-hearing population providing instantaneous text translation in education, civic, and corporate settings. Placement rates are based on students who graduated between July 1 and June 30 of the reported year. Student placements are self-reported by graduates to the college. Only students who worked with HJC's Career Placement Office are included. Details regarding employer, job title, and average salary are maintained at the College and may be reviewed by contacting the President or Director. |
